Jim founded the Firm in 1980. He focuses on work site accidents, injuries caused by defective products, and accidents resulting in death or serious injury. Jim also handles major business or commercial lawsuits. He was the Solicitor of the City of Pottsville for more than 20 years and, in that capacity, advised the elected officials of the City of Pottsville on major real estate development.

Recent verdicts or settlements; Jim recently completed a month-long trial in Philadelphia resulting in an award of $17,500,000.00 to the families to two workers fatally injured in a work site accident at a local plant.

Other recent results include a $5,000,000.00 award to the family of a worker who died in a trench collapse and a $1,500,000.00 settlement for a worker injured at a local plant.

Jim has represented many local families in cases against some of the largest corporations in the world, including a group of families who were defrauded of their life savings by agents of a major brokerage firm, resulting in a multi-million dollar recovery.

Jim also works on shareholder dispute cases and his clients have received many multi-million dollar verdicts, including a $3,000,000.00 verdict on behalf of a minority shareholder of a local corporation.

Jim has represented clients in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Florida.

Jim has been active in the legal profession and recently completed a six-year term as chairman of a Hearing Committee of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the organization charged with the responsibility of enforcing the ethical standards of lawyers.
