BJ is licensed to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 1993. Primary emphasis on auto accidents and insurance litigation.  BJ has successfully handled complex civil and criminal Litigation, including anti-trust, fraud, zoning/ municipal, trucking, banking, divorce, and bankruptcy. BJ has also been certified as an Advocate of Trial Advocacy from the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

BJ has successfully tried and settled cases against major corporations and auto manufacturers. BJ represented an individual injured by a major trucking company in the New Jersey court system. After extensive litigation, including the trucking company filing for bankruptcy, BJ was able to obtain a settlement offer of $1.6 million for his client. BJ has tried and settled cases against auto manufacturers resulting in more than $450,000 in settlements. In a recent automobile arbitration case, BJ obtained an award of $750,000 from an arbitration panel after multiple days of contentious arbitration.

BJ is proud to have successfully created court rulings which help expand injured victims’ rights. BJ successfully obtained workers compensation death benefits for a widow whose husband died while off the work site from exertion and stress caused by his employment. BJ won this case before the Workmen’s Compensation Judge, Appeals Board and Commonwealth Court. The case was published and, importantly, provided lifetime financial benefits to a widow who lost her husband. In a civil case against PennDOT BJ persuaded a trial judge to rule that PennDOT’s position of withholding information from an injured victim regarding the dangerous condition of its road was unconstitutional. This decision has been used by trial lawyers throughout the state. More importantly, it resulted in BJ’s client receiving a $475,000 settlement. BJ is currently involved in litigation against an insurance company in Federal court, seeking to have an insurance company practice limiting benefits to its insureds ruled invalid, which may result in significant recovery for numerous policyholders across the state.

BJ was one of the few lawyers under the age of 30 appointed by the court as trial counsel for a person charged with murder. In a child abuse case which BJ tried on behalf of his client, the jury returned a not-guilty verdict after only five minutes of deliberation. BJ prepared extensive post-trial motions in a rape and indecent assault case which resulted in the charges against his client being dismissed prior to trial.
